Steven A. Steinberg, M.D.
Glaucoma, Cataracts
Dr. Steven A. Steinberg is our glaucoma specialist. He received his undergraduate degree from the
Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was an honor student. He was a Cum Laude
graduate of the State University of New York College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, where he
received his medical degree and was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Steinberg was a medical resident at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and completed his
ophthalmology residency at the Department of Ophthalmology at the State University of New York Health
Science Center in Brooklyn/Kings County Hospital Center.
Dr. Steinberg remained in Brooklyn and completed a glaucoma fellowship at the State University of
New York. He is presently a faculty member of the East Carolina University School of Medicine.
His clinical interests include medical and surgical management of glaucoma, as well as small-incision
cataract surgery.
